Help Us Honor Julia’s Legacy Supporting Displaced in Sidon

Julia Ramadan was a 28 year old university graduate with degrees in Psychology from Lebanese University and Public Relations from Lebanese International University. She became a social activist in her home of Saida, Lebanon, under the name "Julia's Fist". These efforts focused on supporting people in need of finding home and shelter. In August of 2024, the Lebanese-Israeli crisis widened, and Julia pivoted her activism toward supporting those immediately impacted by the war.
Tragically in September 2024, Julia and her family became directly impacted by the war. Julia along with her mother lost their lives when the building they lived in was targeted.
In the wake of this tragic loss, Julia's brother Achraf is now carrying on her legacy, and this GoFundMe is intended to support those goals in her memory. Julia's Fist is committed to continuing her humanitarian journey, just as she always did helping the displaced and needy people in the city of Sidon. This was her heart’s desire and now it is ours to carry forward, driven by the love and passion she showed every day.
Julia's works are immortal within us. Though she was tragically taken from us, her spirit, her dedication, and her love for humanity will never fade. Julia was a beacon of light in the lives of many, offering her time, energy, and love to those in need. Even though she was martyred, her memory lives on in every life she touched, and in every act of kindness we continue to spread in her name.
But we need your help to make this possible.
In Julia's name, we are seeking your financial and moral support. Every dollar you can contribute will go toward providing vital aid to the displaced in our beloved city Sidon, just as Julia would have done.

GoFundMe: Funds received by Ahmad El Baba - Ahmad is Julia's cousin from her mother's side, residing in Canada
GoFundMe: Initative manager - Achraf Ramadan - Julia's brother, continuing her initiative in her memory and supporting the local affected population in Lebanon.
Medical Assistance:
Saida: clinics TBD
Beirut: clinics TBD
Intended outcome: Supporting local affected people with their required labs, imaging, and medical care - e.g. x-ray, bloodtest, vaccines, etc.
Support people suffering from chronic diseases that required medicine and medical attention (e.g. dialysis, diabetes (insulin), chronic mental illness)
Negotiate a charity rate to maximize coverage for people.

Social Assistance Food/Shelter:
During the war, the organization was preparing and feeding the displaced people seeking shelter. This initiative covered food and personal coverings (clothes/blankets/mattresses etc)

Personal comfort/sleep

Shampoo - Detergents - Soap - Female hygiene - Water

One Time - Minimarket/Fresh Fruit/Vegetables:
In the areas affected, some people used IOUs to cover their needs when in danger, we will continue Julia's legacy of covering what people needed in an emergency.

Support for the Elderly:
With local residents at older age, we would like to relieve some of those burdens caused by chronic illnesses, displacement, and aging.
Budget limit: 10% percent of monthly donations - current plan
Scholarships:
Schools Scholarships - future organization goals to work with local schools and universities for students and parents affected.
Budget limit: TBD in the next team meeting, focus on immediate needs of locals first.
