Julia's Plea for Rent Assistance

Hello,

My name is Julia and I'm in a really rough place at the moment. Both my fiance and I have a chronic disease (I have Sickle Cell Anemia and he has kidney failure and Type 1 Diabetes) and he lost his job last year. I receive social security because of my many health issues that don't allow me to work and he was receiving unemployment until it ran out.

I'm creating this GoFundMe because I'm really desperate and we don't have anywhere to go and I don't know how my fiance will be able to still get dialysis 3x a week without having a consistent place to live.

I don't know what else to do and I'm really stressed out. I'm trying to hang in there and not stress too much so I don't trigger my illness and end up hospitalized myself.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could please help us? Anything that you can spare will help get us closer to our goal of being able to pay our rent for the next two months.

UPDATE: The situation has drastically changed as I used your donations to pay the rent but on the 20th of July, our next door neighbor's girlfriend set her unit on fire which caused the firefighters to have to damage our unit to find the origin of and fight said fire. Our unit is now uninhabitable, and the hotel that my renter's insurance put us in only paid until the 16th of this month. I've used this entire time to call any and everyone that I could and unfortunately most agencies aren't built to handle someone instantly losing their place. Most places have either run out of funding, were never set up to provide the type of help we need, or only have funding for "emergency eviction" situations and nothing else.

I do have an agency helping us, but again, they provide help with deposits and first month's rent once we actually have somewhere to go - which we don't and we're looking.

So any donations at this point will go straight towards paying for more nights here at the Staybridge Suites.

At the moment, I've found online booking here for $79 a night so $1100 would bring us right up until the beginning of September. We're hoping that Charleston's job search pans out - he has an interview on Monday and if that goes well then we'll have a lot more to work with as far as trying to move into somewhere. That's mainly what I am hoping for - that we can stay here at least until the beginning of the month to give us time to see if he's hired and to find more private landlords.
