Julie Ackermann's Cancer Journey

My mother, Julie Ackermann, is one of the strongest women I know. Throughout my life she has made so many sacrifices for my brother and I. We were raised in a single parent home and my mother was so supportive and gave every ounce of her being to us. A couple years ago, tragedy in our family struck when we heard the news that she developed lung cancer. After a surgery to take part of the lobe out, we were told that she was cancer free. However, that wasn't the case. About a year ago, during a checkup, the doctor told us that there were abnormal lymph nodes. After the biopsy, we learned that they were cancerous, stage 3. She was told that without chemotherapy she would have 8 months to a year to live. She went through 4 months of chemotherapy (3 doses a week for one week every month, totaling 12 doses). She also went through 30 doses of radiation. Fortunately at the end of therapy, she was able to ring the bell and receive news of  cancer free lungs. Unfortunately, this journey has left her with a plethora of medical bills as some parts of the treatment were not covered, and throughout this journey she was unable to work and has only received limited disability pay that hasn't been sufficient enough for living expenses, let alone medical expenses. My mother has sacrificed for me my entire life, given me everything. Now it is my time to try to help her, so I am asking for help from all of you in order for me to help my mother. Anything that anyone could spare will be greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Our prayer is that she recover physically, emotionally, and financially.
