Don’t buy me flowers, please make a donation to the Marie Curie Hospice, Solihull instead.

Hi, I’m Andrew, Julie’s brother. In February 2024 Julie was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and just seven months later, she died. It has been a difficult journey but it was made infinitely more bearable as a result of the care and kindness that Julie received from so many of the staff at the Marie Curie Hospice, Solihull. From nurses, health care assistants, doctors, consultants, cooks and catering staff, to maintenance and reception staff, social workers and counsellors. All of the staff that provided care and interacted with Julie and our family and friends were special. These people provide the kind of care and support that you don’t realise you will ever need until you are faced with death - either of yourself or a loved one.

Throughout her life, Julie was a giver. Her final wish was that instead of you all buying her flowers, that you would instead please donate to the Marie Curie Hospice, Solihull. Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated as this service is drastically underfunded.

Thank you.

In loving memory of Julie Anne Linton, 13/05/1963 - 02/09/2024.
