Julie Berube, Missionary Disciple-in-Training

Dear Friends and Family,

I am here again in Bruno, Saskatchewan, for a second year at St. Therese Institute of Faith and Mission! I worked this summer to raise funds for my second missionary formation year, but even more of the support that I depend on for my St. Therese Institute fees has come from each of you. In partnering with me, you are being faithful to your own missionary call as well as helping me to grow into mine. Thank you for sharing generously! Your partnerships have made my formation possible, helping me to cover my entire first year and now half way through my second year.

In the program here, I seek formation along the Little Way of St. Therese of Lisieux. That means to live moment to moment for love alone, with radical surrender to God and trust that he will use me to bring souls to him. The St. Therese Institute combines classes on Catholic foundations with a semi-monastic communal life, so we must practice living out the things we learn through our day-to-day environment. Through it all, we depend on grace from daily prayer and regular sacraments.

When I leave this place, I will enter world with vision and the experience of making normal tasks into sacrificial offerings. The vision of turning ordinary life into an offering allows any ordinary Catholic to embrace the call to mission, each within our own path, and each shining brightly for Christ. The world depends on the success of the New Evangelization…and

the New Evangelization depends on ordinary Catholics embracing the unique missionary call that Jesus has for each of us.

Today, I have $9,000 left to raise, so I’m asking you to help me through the final push. One way to think of my final need could be 30 people offering support of $300. The support could be a single offering, or it could be broken up into three offerings of $100 a month or six monthly $50 offerings. It all counts and support at any level is a great blessing of great

impact.
