Julie Griffith Fights Cancer Again by Christine S

It is with great sadness and frustration that we are reaching back out to you to help Julie Griffith fight cancer, again. As you may know, Julie was diagnosed with rectal and then liver cancer in starting in May 2018.

Julie bravely and humerously participated in 1 1/2 years of grueling treatments that included chemo, radiation, and multiple surgeries.

In September 2019, Julie was declared "cancer free". She returned to work in a very part-time capacity November 1 extrememly excited to get back into her previous routine "before cancer".

Then, December 10th, Julie received some very bad news...her cancer has returned with a vengeance. Julie started her 13th round of Chemo just this past Monday.

Please help Julie and her family of 5 financially or in any capacity you can.

In her own words:

“It is with a heavy heart that I write this... yesterday I received some bad news from my oncologist - my cancer has returned aggressively - NOT GOOD. I have four new lesions on the liver that popped up within 3 months! I will begin chemo again on Monday and waiting to get a plan from liver specialist/oncologist (most likely aggressive surgery at this point). There is good news - the cancer is contained in the liver and has not spread to other organs! This is going to be - yet - another rough road, but I am STRONG and I am not going to let cancer win. #FAC”

Julie is so strong but there are real financial stresses that neither she nor her family needs or can meet right now. First, it is the end of the year and her $4000.00 deductible kicks in January 1st. Bob was laid off and is actively looking for new opportunities. Julie just came off Disability Pay and wants to work but that’s going to be tough. She’s a fighter but she and her family need our help.

Let’s get her deductible covered and beyond. The medical expenses alone are going to be huge and Julie also wants to pursue every option available to BEAT FAC!!! and many are not covered by insurance. This brave, amazing woman has been there for all of us, given so much to all of us and our community, please do whatever you can to give it back. No amount is too small. The love and support will so help her to get through this.
