Julie Mears (Molyneux Dickinson) (NHS family)

This is for an incredible woman Julie Mears. One of my best friends has had the news no person or family ever wants to hear. After battling breast cancer and overcoming it and planning the future with her family Julie has found out the cancer has returned on her Lungs and Liver and it is now terminal with potentially a year depending on treatment. A bit about Julie: Julie is an amazing lady having spent a number of years on the front line as an nhs technician, she has dedicated years of her life treating the people that have needed her the most. Wanting to do more she decided to up her skills as a paramedic so she could give back more to society and progress her career within the nhs. Not only was she putting her self on the front line for all these years she has also managed to bring up her 2 wonderful boys on her own whilst juggling her career as a paramedic. In 2014 Julie met Wes and after several years they decided to get married and had a wonderful wedding in the summer of 2018 surrounded by friends and family. Towards the end of 2018 Julie found a lump in her breast and was diagnosed with breast cancer. After such a short time married this was a tough time for everyone…. Being the strong person that she is Julie went through the treatment and in 2019 was cleared of the breast cancer and her and Wes began to plan their lives that had been put on hold for so long. A couple of weeks ago Julie began to get short of breath and with the current issues she was sent into hospital for some tests. Whilst in hospital she was given the devasting news that the cancer had returned and was terminal. She unfortunately has been given anywhere between 3-12 months depending on how the treatment goes. Now this news is hard for anyone to take but with the current climate and so much isolation this will be even harder for Julie and the family as seeing family and friends at the moment is impossible. We would like to give something back to both Julie and her family and raise some money for them to make the best memories together whilst they still can and support the family for the future. There is no doubt that if she could she would be back on the front line with her colleagues battling the coronavirus helping the communities around her. Please help us to help build some memories for a lady that has given so much of her life to helping others and take the worry of finance away from them. A massive thank you to all.
