Julie Moore and Quaama area bushfires

Donation protected
On New Year's Eve 2019, my mother, Julie Moore, lost her house on her beautiful farm 10km outside of Quaama, NSW, to the unprecedented bushfires in Australia. Despite the best preparations possible, there was nothing that could be done. Just getting herself and 2 of her 3 horses out to safety was a mission in itself. She evacuated to Quaama, then Cobargo, then Bermagui, then Narooma, as the fire threatened town after town. The horse she was unable to go back for was amazingly found alive, but has since had to be put down. Mum is now relatively safe, though cut off from family. This is all being pieced together from family members as communications are difficult.
And it's not over yet. Saturday in Australia will bring as bad or worse conditions as Tuesday. 2 of my brothers, my father, my grandmother, my aunt and cousins all have houses in the expected path of the fire on Saturday. Most have evacuated, with some staying behind to attempt to save property, if safe to do so.

This fundraiser will help to give my Mum something to start over with. To buy necessities for the difficult period ahead as she decides what to do, where to live, how to recover. She lives simply, generously, and selflessly, and this is the only way I know how to help from so far away.

Thank you.
