Julie Pinson's Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Life isn’t fair and we all know no one is safe from cancer.

Because if it was, Julie wouldn’t have been diagnosed with breast cancer a few months before her 30th birthday.

Julie is the kind of person with plans. Get the job. Buy the house. Travel the world. Get married! Have kids. Travel the world some more. Cancer was not part of that plan.

And she unfortunately already knows the drill—Julie was a rock for her mom, Annie, when she fought ovarian cancer a few years ago. She stood by her mom’s side while she battled chemotherapy and a double mastectomy. Julie was right there with her every step of the way.

Many of you know that Julie is a bold, fearless woman, who has goals, hopes & dreams and nothing will stand in her way. She is passionate and convicted about whatever it is that she puts her mind to and the most loving and loyal person that any of us can have in our life. It is our turn to repay that passion, conviction and love to her.

Julie has a high-grade invasive and aggressive cancer in her right breast. She is going to start a journey of 20 weeks of chemotherapy in late September. Once done, she’ll undergo a bilateral mastectomy.

She will not be in this journey alone. Julie is thankful for the love and support of her fiance Justin, her adoring parents, Keith, Darcy, Annie and Tom and her brothers and sisters: Michael, Cierra, Zackary and Sarah.

As we mentioned before, cancer was not  part of her plan for her future, but if you know Julie, you know she will beat this thing!

But, kicking cancer’s ass isn’t cheap and Julie needs our help!

Fertility treatment costs upward of $22,000 out of pocket. She’s already racked up $3,000 worth of bills for doctor’s visits before even starting a single round of chemo.

In addition to the medical costs, Julie will be unable to work at Alaska Airlines for about 8 months, which is a personal hardship for Julie because she loves to travel the world, service her customers and bond with her Alaska Family.

There are many ways that you can support her—food (Here is a link to her meal train: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/k7d3q2 ), errands, hugs, phone calls/texts—but she also needs that money, honey!

Please donate what you can, when you can, so Julie can focus her energy where she needs it most: Kicking cancer’s ass!

As her best friend of 16 years, I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart to any contributions and help that you can make.

I would like to give special thanks to Stephanie Chacharon for helping me write this and special thanks to Marshelle Slayton for putting together the meal train!
