Due to the recent catastrophic flooding in Johnson, two of our most valued members of the Jay Peak Ski Patrol find themselves without their home. Thankfully they are safe, and they’ve secured housing, but the damage to their apartment is done and they now find themselves sorting through it all.

Julie and Lucas have been at JPSP for a combined 5 years. Throughout that time they’ve made an extremely strong reputation built on dedication, hard work, loyalty and thorough badass-ery.

Julie and Lucas have always been there for us and the skiers of Jay Peak. It doesn’t matter if it’s wiring boo in the pouring rain, slogging out an injured skier on the Ullr’s runout or first tracks in Valhalla on a powder day. They’re both always ready for work, always ready to help, always ripe for a great laugh and always ready to shred gnar.

Now it’s time for all of us to step up and help them out in their time of need. Whether or not they have insurance to help them offset the cost of the damage, they’re sure to incur unanticipated expenses. The greatest thing about our JPSP family is the collective love and support we offer each other during times of need.

I know that we’ll have no problem rallying together and helping them out. Give as much or as little as you can afford, it all adds up and makes a big difference. Also, we’re working on other non-monetary ways to lend them a hand as well, so stay tuned for updates!
