A surprise for Julie

my auntie julie was diagnosed in july with cancer for the second time round, at the age of 49. she’d been in remission for 14 years prior to this. this time she had to get her voice box removed (total laryngectomy) which has left her with no voice

she’s decided to plan a fundraiser on 28.01.23 to raise money for patients like herself. she had surgery last month, which is completely life changing & came round in ICU with no way of communicating, as nothing is provided, you can only imagine how daunting, scary & frustrating this is. this is where the money raised will be used to make a change & buy battery run, writing boards with the pen attached in order for patients to be able to communicate (this has been a lifesaver for us in the sense of communication & us still being able to talk to each each other)

to be thinking of others at a time like this is nothing short of incredible, the woman is a bloody angel & for this reason we as a family think she deserves a wee trip away & a surprise of her own

hence the reason for the go fund me..

if my auntie julie knew about this, she’d kill us & say no way buuuut she deserves this more than ever! so we’ve decided (AS A SURPRISE) that we’d like to raise some money for her, to tick off some of her bucket list & give this to her the week of the fundraiser. so please, please, please nobody mention this to her
