Remembering Julie Velin

Hi, my name is Nicole and Julie is my Mother. She and I were always very close. I was an only child and she was the parent who raised me and made me the person I am. For the last 21 years my family and I have been caring for her as her Alzheimer’s ventured through all the stages. We had some hard parts, but mostly she went with the flow and as long as she could follow me around, she was good. She knew she belonged with me and that’s what she did. When I was growing up she worked at Sears in the visual merchandising dept. She loved to go out dancing with her friends to all the So Bay hot spots lol she loved her wine. She was funny, kind, generous, FUN and a friend to so many. I remember always loving her so deeply and when I moved out at 21 when she transferred to Chicago to work in Sears Tower, I missed her so very much. I cannot possibly eulogize her and hit all the points. She truly was amazing. My kids didn’t have the typical relationship with her as a G’ma does, and she may not have remembered they were hers lol ~ but they felt her love. And they have been by my side as I have cared for her. What an amazing experience we have shared. We will miss her like no other , and she will always be in our hearts and souls.
Funds raised will help cover end of life/after life costs and we so appreciate what you can give.
Thank you friends ❤️ And Thank you Mom for being the the best, doing your best, and trusting me to care for you. I love you.
