Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers on behalf of Julie during this difficult time. She has truly felt of your love and concern. After posting an update on Julie’s condition, we were flooded with so many kind comments about Julie. Time and time again, we’ve heard of her extraordinary character – she is truly one of the most selfless, kind, and compassionate people we’ve had the pleasure of knowing. She is a friend to all, and makes each individual she meets feel important and loved.
In 2007, Julie was diagnosed with brain cancer. Through all of the trials of the last several years, through all of the pain and heartache, she has kept a bright and sunny disposition, never giving up hope and never letting her faith waver. She's been a true inspiration to all of us.
The last few years have been a beautiful gift. But sadly, Julie's time on earth is drawing to a close. Recently, her tumors have started to grow again, gradually stealing her strength, even if it can't steal her spirit.
When we learned of this devastating news, Julie’s first concern was for her adoring husband, Aaron, and their sweet 10 year old son, Tennyson. While she has been able to come to a place of peace, and feels incredibly grateful for the life she has led, the future well-being of her family continues to weigh heavily on her mind.
The response to the news of Julie’s condition has been tremendous, and many of you have asked how you can help. In addition to your continued thoughts and prayers, we have set-up a fundraiser to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with medical and funeral costs, as well as securing a bright future for her son. Your donations will be distributed towards:
1. Medical expenses
2. Ensuring Julie’s last wishes are fulfilled (funeral costs)
3. Setting-up a fund for Tennyson’s mission and college education
