Julie's Battle with Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Hi my name is Ty Curley and I am 15 years old. My mom Julie Curley was diagnosed with breast cancer on April 11th, 2016. It has taken a huge toll on our entire family and it has greatly affected all of our lives. We are all supporting our mom physically and emotionally through this battle each day since her diagnosis. One way that I would like to help lessen her stress is financially and so I am wanting to raise money to help pay my mom's medical bills and living expenses for our family. The day that my mom was diagnosed, my Dad had a total shoulder surgery and he is out of work by the doctor's order until the middle of July. It is hard to see my mom in this condition and I am still in disbelief that this happened to someone that has always been such a giver, bestfriend, and an amazing mom. She has been a registered nurse for over 30 years and she has always worked her butt off to get me and my 5 siblings everything we need. She recently had her first huge surgery on May 25th, 2016 which was a double mastectomy with breast reconstruction. For more information on her surgery click here! During her procedure they removed 3 of her lymphnodes and all 3 tested positive for cancer. We have since found out that she will need to have an additional surgery on her right breast in the next couple of weeks before starting chemo. Also, in a couple of weeks she is going to have a PET Scan to find where else the cancer is and then she is going to have chemotherapy and then radiation to beat and hopefully kill it. Donating to help our family with any medical expences as well as living expences would be very helpful. Me and my 4 older siblings are going work and do whatever it takes to help our family get through this. Every dollar means the world to us and I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read our story. I will keep everyone updated on my Mom's and how she is doing battling this tough battle!
