Juliette Sonobe

In memory of Juliette Sonobe, this page has been set up to raise awareness and fundraise money for two very important causes: Lombok Dogs Animal Shelter and Papyrus Prevention of Young Suicide UK.

Surrounded by her own cats and dog while growing up, Juliette always had a strong compassion towards animals and their welfare. She went to volunteer at a number of animal shelters in Thailand and South Africa where she looked after animals with other volunteers who later became friends for life. She described these trips as some of her happiest times. In recent travels away in Thailand, Juliette & Joe found a dog shelter called Lombok Dogs where a man called Bader looks after a huge number of animals and works extremely hard to make sure strays are given the proper medical treatment and fed, finally being relocated to a new home. We would like to use this money to help fund a new project that will be crucial in the shelters development building new infrastructure to support more and more dogs.

The other charity is called Papyrus. Founded by a group of parents who have all lost their children to suicide, Papyrus is dedicated to the prevention of suicide and promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people. They provide a free, confidential helpline, advice and resources, training and fundraising to bring awareness of suicide.
