On June 30, 2017, Juliette's entire life changed with the news she had Colon Cancer. On August 21, 2017, she had surgery to remove it. Radiation and chemotherapy were recommended by her doctors, but it didn't make sense that radiation and chemotherapy would be killing the good cells along with the bad cells. In that case what was going to be left to fight the bad ones?
Juliette decided to go a holistic way. Fresh organic fruits and vegetables became her everyday diet. She is juicing and eating fresh produce to get the vitamins and minerals that her body needs to battle the cancer along with supplements. On her one year checkup, everything seemed to be looking great. But that changed after the doctors came back with a concern about her test results. They couldn't tell after several days of testing if what they were seeing on the scans was scar tissue or if it was cancerous.
Juliette goes to see the specialist in 5 to 6 weeks and he will order a blood test that is sent to Europe and the results are sent back and reviewed. The blood test that would tell you what was vitamins you need and what type of chemotherapy would combat the cancer. The doctor's visits and the test are expensive.
This past year has been really hard for her and her husband. Her father in law passed away from cancer, she was diagnosed with cancer, the after-effects of the surgery were less than pleasant, and the economy and medical bills have put them in a tight spot.
There are so many unknowns both emotionally and financially when it comes to cancer treatment and disease management. Juliette is the type of person who is a fighter, she goes above and beyond to keep her look on life upbeat, and tries to keep herself healthy. I started this GoFundMe to help her and Rey in their time of need with Juliette's medical costs during treatment.
So, if you’re reading this, please give what you can to reach our goal of helping her with her medical bills and the healthy food she needs for her body to heal. And if you can’t, positive thoughts or a prayer or two are more than welcome.
Thank you!
