Julio Lizardo Medical Expenses

Hello... we are Kelly and Manuel from Kittanning, PA,

On New Years Day, we received a devastating call notifying Manuel that his youngest brother Julio had been in a terrible accident while traveling on his motorcycle with his friend Samuel in the Dominican Republic. They had been hit by a van that then left the scene.

Thankfully, Samuel is doing fairly well after sustaining a broken hip. However, Manuel’s brother Julio is in critical condition with a brain stem injury, a broken leg, and a fracture near his chest. Praying he survives the trauma, it’s clear he has a long road to recovery.

We believe that God will see him through this, we are seeing positive signs but we also have the reality that this is very serious. Unlike the United States the healthcare system there is quite broken. Without insurance, his family faces the challenges of paying cash for the treatments and surgeries. Without funding, Julio will not be treated.

We are just devastated that our sweet Julio is in such bad shape but we are doing everything we can to get him the best possible care. As difficult as it is for Manuel and I to ask for help, we want to do all we can to help this wonderful young man.

So we are creating this page in an effort to help sweet Julio get the treatment he so desperately needs. Manuel and I are so appreciative for the many prayers and support, but it is with a heavy heart I must ask for more. If you are able to give anything at all it is very much appreciated.
