Julio Zhagnay - We will never forget you.

We are deeply saddened of the news that a dear, loyal and loving member of our McGillin’s family has passed late last night after a 6 week battle with Covid-19.  Julio Zagnay was a dedicated coworker, friend and jack-of-all-trades at McGillin's for over 25 years.  A son of Ecuador, he came to America to seek a better life, but America was better with Julio.  No matter the time, the day or the magnitude, Julio could mend it, bend it to his will or come up with the solution to any problem.  Julio was the husband, father and grandfather of the year - he was able to bring his wife and children from Ecuador, starting each out with jobs at McGillin’s before they ventured off and found their own way.  During the lockdowns and up until his illness, while his family toiled, Julio remained at home and devoutly tended to his grandchildren, ensuring them the education and good examples which brought so much to Julio’s own life.  We are touched by so many lives at McGillin’s, however this loss is deep and will never be replaced.   “Those we love don’t go away.  He’ll walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near.  Still loved, still missed and very dear"

Several kind people have already reached out to see how they can help.  Julio leaves behind a legacy, and this fund will assist his family to preserve their memories and ensure a proper celebration of this life that has meant so much to so many.
