JUNE 2019 APL CLINIC: MEDICATION & SUPPLIES
Tax deductible
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit the non-profit Ann Prepare Lavni (APL) https://annpreparelavni.org/ . This a non-profit organization that focuses on empowerment through education for the citizens of Anse-a-Pitres and Banane, Haiti. As a community venture, APL would like to expand its role to improve the physical health well-being of the population of Banane by also providing primary care to the citizens.
>Goals for Medical Care
-Short term goals: to conduct mobile clinics to collect epidemiological data, screen for and provide care for acute and chronic conditions (Infections, Wound Care, Malnutrition, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Asthma, Depression etc), & conduct workshops for local providers on chronic conditions and prevention of certain illnesses ie STIs.
-Long term goals: establish Tropical medicine rotations year around for visiting providers to provide care at the Banane clinic and Anse-à-Pitres hospital and create an EMS service.
My colleague Dr. Paul Daniel, MD a medical consultant for the group has been involved in assessing the medical needs and services for APL several years. From June 2-9, 2019 Dr. Daniel will be leading an APL mobile clinic in Banane. I and a couple of other providers are going to travel to Banane to volunteer in this clinic. As you may know resources are limited in this area, and many of the citizens, especially the children and elderly, are in dire need of medications. As we see patients in the mobile clinic, basic medical supplies (gauze, alcohol sanitizers, tongue depressors etc) are needed for patient evaluations along with medications for treatment plans.
I'm asking that you help me in supporting the medical mission efforts by donating to this fund raising campaign in order to purchase the medications and supplies for the mobile clinic. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
