Cancer treatment for June Gentry
Donation protected
In the truck driving industry, we are like our own little family. When a driver is in need, we all pitch in and do what we can to help. We have a team of drivers that are in need. June and Rich. Either of them would do anything in their power to help any other person out and now they are the ones who need the help.
Rich writes this about June:
When I met June, I knew she was my soulmate. It was like I had always known her even though I had just met her. In 9 years we've only been apart a total of 2 weeks, she is my everything. About 3 months ago she developed a cough that wouldn't go away and it kept getting worse. She went to the doctor and had a chest x-ray. They found a mass on her right lung, did a biopsy & found out it was cancerous. If there were any way possible, I'd switch places with her in an instant. Some of our family (not blood related but still family) asked if it would be alright to set up a Go fund me page to help offset the cost of her medical bills and other expenses since they couldn't physically do anything to help. When we got the message we had to pull over because we were in tears. We are blessed to have people that care so much about us.
What Rich is leaving out is that because of the treatment, June will have to get off of the truck that they team drive together and stay home for her treatment. Losing her job also means losing insurance. The amount of time Rich will have to run alone is yet to be determined and could be up to a year or more. The expenses that come along with cancer treatment can be astronomical with insurance, let alone without. Not to mention the continued day to day expenses that still pile up during treatment.. Their household income will be cut by more than half because of June no longer being able to drive a truck during treatment. This woman that is loved by every person who meets her needs our help. During all of this, She is maintaining a positive outlook. Please help so that she has less to stress over. We all know that stress decreases our body's ability to heal.
Any amount will be graciously appreciated!
