Miss Juneteenth Los Angeles Scholarships
Donation protected
We are helping girls go to college and we need 1000 people to donate $19 to the Miss Juneteenth Los Angeles Scholarship Pageant.
The Miss Juneteenth Los Angeles Scholarship Pageant honors our ancestors and celebrates the excellence of young adults in our community. It was created to provide an opportunity for girls ages 13-18 living in the greater Los Angeles area to earn scholarships for college. In addition, the girls will attend leadership and etiquette training while also participating in a community service project.
As an educator and an advocate for equitable education, I ran for public office a few years ago to fight for representation and resources for minority students in Los Angeles Community Colleges. Unfortunately, I became so disenfranchised with the political process and was left questioning where can I be of most service to the students I was fighting for.
The James Gray Educational Foundation, Inc was established to promote equitable education through community and scholarship.
• Our goal is to provide resources that promote equity in education and academic excellence for Black students in the Los Angeles area.
• We uphold academic excellence through community outreach, coaching and scholarship.
• We encourage pride, respect and honor for ourselves, our ancestors, our community, and our education.
• We promote cultural preservation and cultural awareness by celebrating the traditions and norms of our ancestors.
Our first pageant will be held on June 18, 2022, at the Miracle Theater in Inglewood. All proceeds go to scholarships and scholarship events.
We appreciate your help.
Peace & Blessings,
