Junior Hattah Desert Race 2025

Hi my name is Sid, I am 13, and I am raising money to compete in the Junior Hattah Desert Race in July 2025. The race is near Mildura which is a 3400km round trip from Brisbane. The race will be my first ever endurance race. It's my dream to one day race in the senior Hattah and also thefamous Finke Desert Race.

The course is 132km made up of 6 laps.of a 22km challenging sand track. It has to be ridden flat out!

I will be riding an 85cc 2 stroke mx bike

To compete in the race I need a national racing licence, lots of bike parts, plenty of safety equipment, a good support team (including Dad!) and alot of training.

Membership, licence and race fees make up a big part of this journey.

I also need to upgrade my bike with a bigger fuel tank, better suspension, desert tyres and much more!

Safety gear I need special motorbike clothes including boots, gloves, chest protection, neck brace and a very good helmet!

It is also a very long drive with camping on the way and at the race.
