Help Junoh Stand Up Again

Dear friends and family,

We are reaching out to you in a time of great need. Junoh Kim, a NYU Stern student, was a beloved friend, family member, and coworker who brought positive energy to all of us.

Unfortunately, on June 23rd, Junoh was involved in a severe accident when armed carjackers crashed into his Uber while fleeing from a police chase. This tragic incident has left him with significant injuries, including severe spinal cord damage. Junoh is currently paralyzed in his lower body from waist down and has limited use of his hands (left is stronger than his right). The extent to his recovery is uncertain, but we will remain hopeful.

Since the accident, Junoh has undergone two critical surgeries and is now on a long road to rehabilitation. The physical, emotional, and financial toll of this accident is overwhelming, and we are turning to our community for support.

The medical expenses for Junoh's treatment, rehab, and ongoing care are substantial. We aim to raise $100,000 to cover these costs and ensure that Junoh receive the best possible care and support during this challenging time.

6/23(일) 새벽 4시경, 준오가 필라델피아에서 큰 교통사고를 당했습니다. 당시 경찰로부터 도주하던 차량 탈취범들은 준오가 타고 있던 차량에 빠른 속도로 충돌했고, 그 결과 준오는 심각한 척수손상을 입어 현재 하반신마비를 겪고 있습니다. 또한, 명백한 피해자임에도 불구하고, 보험 혹은 소송을 통한 단기간내 보상은 불분명하다고 합니다.

해병대 1263기 수색대 출신으로, 준오는 누구보다 강인하게 이겨내고 있습니다. 그러나 정신적, 육체적, 금전적 피해가 막대하다는 것 또한 명백한 사실입니다. 이에 준오의 시기적절한 치료 및 재활을 돕고자 $100,000을 모금하고자 합니다.
