Please help support our Jurnee to Healing!

On Friday, June 21, 2024, Tamecka Allen and her daughter Jurnee were on the way to a friend's house when they collided head-on with a dump truck. Sadly, Tamecka was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving Erica, her other mom, to pick up the pieces.

In a single moment, Erica's life transformed as she embraced single parenthood for Jurnee, facing the daunting weight of medical bills, legal fees, and all the responsibilities of raising a child alone.

The expenses from the accident total more than $20,000, but the impact it has had on both Erica and Jurnee's lives can't be quantified.

Some of the financial burdens from the accident include:

  • Medical bills
  • Physical therapy
  • Attorney fees
  • Estate costs
  • Caregiver costs
  • Moving costs

"My goal is to first and foremost honor Tamecka, who is Jurnee's birth mother, and raise Jurnee in a loving home, and surround her with a positive and loving tribe and community." - Erica

Jurnee, who entered 6th grade this fall, is a kind, generous, polite kid who loves to dance, sing, play in the band, and make videos with her best friends. She and Erica often pick sunflowers; Jurnee says they were her mom's favorite and they remind her that Tamecka's love will always bloom in her heart.

Your support will help Erica and Jurnee get the support they need to move forward. For Erica, the financial burden, the grieving, and the logistical planning have been overwhelming. Still, Erica remains steadfast in her advocacy for her daughter, making sure she gets the adequate help for her physical, emotional, and mental health. Nothing is more important.

Consider supporting Jurnee to Healing. No contribution is too small; every little bit helps.
