Just a 19 year old girl wanting to survive a deadly warzone

Hi,

I am hoping to raise enough money to help Dima survive until peace comes to the war torn fenced in land where she lives and is not allowed to escape from despite the continuous bombing.

She is only 19 . Just a young girl trapped in a deadly war zone where there have already been at least 15, 000 innocent children killed, including her brother.

Her home has been destroyed and she has been chased from place to place with no sign of an end to the torture.

 Her and her old parents left the area of their home with nothing apart from the clothes they were wearing. They had to leave in a hurry. 

So far i have paid for the lease of a makeshift shelter and mattresses and pillows (pillows essential for her mum).

 I have helped them with access to fresh food and to gas. These items are so expensive now that it was impossible for them to buy them out of their savings.

Dima's mum has a hernia and through the PRCS i have been able to find the help they needed. (Previously they were being taken advantage of by an organisation that would do the surgery at a private rate level of fee. My PRCS contact advised that surgery is free at the moment due the the ingoing situation).

Unfortunately the tent was also destroyed and the family was made shelterless and was facing the prospect of having to sleep out in the streets without any protection or privacy at all. On the upside however, the loss of the tent has forced a change and it has luckily been possible for Dima's family to move into a building and get some real  shelter,( but that comes at an ongoing monthly rent of 700 USD). 

The lack of support for the civilian population has meant that the little supplies that get through the border fence are, more often than not, taken into the black market and are sold for 10 or even 20 times their true value.

When no one has had a source of income for over nine months it is an impossible situation for many and some simply have starved.

Because of Dima's situation as a young person who is effectively having to look after very old parents , she is vulnerable and needs more help than others just to survive. Since moving to the flat, Dima has had a real challenge in finding and transporting water to supply the family's daily requirements. 

To help her manage the supply of water more easily, she has requested a barrel that can be kept at the flat and act as a water tank so that water in the transporting bucket does not have to be used immediately if more than one bucket load is required ( it always is) .

Like many others she is exhausted through stress, lack of sleep, poor nutrition, bereavement and making multiple dangerous trips for water in the heat of the day for most if the day. At night the bombing starts , so she can not  go out to fetch water when it is cooler, as would be preferable ,

Dima is living an awful existence with no prospect of improvement for a long time.

I have made myself poor trying to help and still there is no sign of an end to the pointless destruction.

Simply put, 

please help Dima if you can. 

Even a small amount.

She deserves a future. 

And before that , a less horrendous existence, so that she can feel some small hope.
