Just a little help for Donna towards Marks Funeral

Unfortunately on November 20th we heard the horrible news that our Mums partner Mark Saunders had very sadly passed away. 

Mark contracted covid and became very unwell, sadly his body could no longer fight it and he gained his Angel wings.

Mark was a big character but also a grumpy one, he was known to the grandchildren as Grumpy and to our mum, he was her big soft bear, She was his Cherry Pie and they loved each other deeply.

His love of Metal and Punk Music was unfortunate when it led to him breaking his arm in a Mosh pit but it never stopped him from cranking up the volume for New Model Army and 5 Finger Death Punch. He even had his own New Model Army private mosh pit in there living room which I'm sure many of you will remember seeing on Facebook. 

We welcomed Mark into our family and our Hearts and right now they are breaking from the missing piece he now leaves unfilled. 

Mark was known for his colour hair and crazy personality that Donna helped bring out in him too. They were and always will be a crazy colourful couple that would do anything to help their nearest and dearest.

He participated in lots of the plays Donna wrote and helped a lot in the background too, with his most remembered moment being when he played the ugly sister.

He adored our Mum, as did she with him. They went on many adventures together such as visiting Gran Canaria, mini breaks to places like Blackpool, Bradford and A fond love with Whitby. They waited over 1 hr for a curry on Christmas Day (don't actually think they ever received that curry).

Mark helped when Donna worked at Age UK by volunteering and even growing his hair into a Mohican and dying it different colours, he raised over £300 for such a worthy cause.

He truly was a Beautiful yet Grumpy person and we all loved him for it in our own ways.

Mum is still fighting hard in hospital with Covid herself and we are trying to help her as much as we can given the circumstances. Mark didn't have a funeral plan or any insurances that help with the cost towards his funeral, so we are hoping by setting this up we can help Donna even just a little bit towards Marks Funeral, to ease a little bit of the stress on her at this heartbreaking time.

We Love you Grumpy Bear, lots of love from all us, your inherited family (I bet you never realised you was going to gain this crazy lot when you first met our mum, but we know you wouldn't have it any other way)! 

Mark also leaves behind his beautiful children who he loved so very much, Jez, Jack, Jazmine and Lucas.
