‘Just Blooming’ prints in aid of Nacoa

Beautiful A4 prints of bloomin’ Brighton flowers depicting the life many children of alcoholics experience……With often different roots in life, ones that others may not recognise or understand, but with support and recognition of their experiences they are able to grow and really blossom into the person they want to become! We also recognise many parents concealed their drinking in different cups and other items, to try and keep it a secret, but now we are being open and talking about our experiences to help others feel less alone! And that’s where this fundraiser comes in, all profits will go to Nacoa (National Association for Children of Alcoholics) who support anyone affected by parental drinking, with a national confidential helpline, a website full of resources such as books and videos, message boards and so much more! Check them out on social media or visit www.nacoa.org.uk They help 30,000 people a year to understand their own experience as a Coa, to find ways to take care of themselves amongst the chaos, and to understand it’s not their fault! Finding a tribe in Nacoa really helps Coa’s to grow and become authentically themselves, to realise that they are important and matter too, as most of their lives may have been spent worrying about their parent!A little note from Ceri: I’ve planned this fundraiser to mark 20 years since mum died, 20 years of missing the mum she was, the mum I always thought she’d become, and grandparent she could have been to my children. There are mixed emotions of love for the amazing fun mum she was when she didn’t drink, and anger for what I experienced as a child that no child should go through. I love my life and continue to stop the trauma travelling to the next generation with support from Nacoa, and I just had a vision that these floral prints represent my life in some way!
