Justice and assistance for Lady Benjamin Cannon

Hi, my name is Allison and I’m setting up this fundraiser on the behalf of my friend Lady Benjamin Cannon, who is an intersex woman and lesbian. She was the victim of a gruesome and violent hate crime in Benicia in which she was kidnapped for 48 hours and robbed of everything she owned, including her boat which was also her home in an act of extortion.

She is now effectively homeless living on another donated 28 foot boat in a bay (which will not be named for her safety). However her boat no longer has a working engine so she’s anchored and essentially stranded. She no longer has a generator because it was stolen by the thieves who stole the rest of her life. She needs help getting her boat back in working order, putting her life back together, and securing a legal fund to reclaim what is rightfully hers. She needs therapy to recover from the trauma of this violent crime that has happened to her.

Lady Benjamin is a beloved figure in the San Francisco club scene. It's hard to believe something so heinous could occur and she has police reports to prove this is real.

Our goal is $3600 and here is what it would contribute towards. If you can provide these items directly please comment and we'll find a way to get them to her.

A small but reliable generator Honda 2200is - 1,199

Some fuel for that generator ($400)

A small but reliable 3.5hp outboard motor ($999) so she can get her dinghy to shore in emergencies and to get food

To get her cell phone turned back on would be just under $700

$299 full size mattress (she is sleeping on an air bed that leaks)

As you can see she’s asking for the bare minimum after everything that’s been taken from her. As a captain’s daughter and a salty sea dog myself, stealing someone’s boat is sacrilegious. Call the Benicia PD and demand justice as well!
