Justice and Support for Charles “Chop It Charlie” Faggart and His Family

We are asking for your help and prayers for a beloved Jacksonville chef, son, brother, and father — Charles Faggart, known to many as Chop It Charlie.  Charles was seriously injured while in the custody of the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office and is now fighting for his life.

He is currently surrounded by his devoted parents, Charlie Faggart and Tracey Karpas, his siblings, close family, and friends. His 6-year-old son, Lincoln, continues to bring light and love in the midst of this tragedy. While the full details are still unfolding, one thing is clear — Charles was harmed while in a place where he should have been safe.

As the family seeks accountability and answers, we are also trying to ease the immediate burdens they face. Medical costs, ongoing care, and support for Lincoln weigh heavily on their hearts. This fundraiser will help with those urgent needs and ensure that Charles and his family receive the care and dignity they deserve.

Charles has always been known for his big heart, his flavorful food, and the joy he brought to others. Now, we are asking the community he gave so much to — to give back.
