Help Support Justices Rare Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Taylor, on January 9th, 2024, my 19-year-old cousin Justice Cole Manning, who lives in Battle Ground, WA went into the emergency room for abdominal pain. Later that week his CT scan showed 2 large mango-sized masses and many smaller ones scattered throughout his abdomen. After waiting weeks for a PET scan and biopsy results, we just got the news last week that it is a desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) This is a very rare aggressive soft tissue sarcoma with a very grim prognosis, affecting children and young adults, mostly males.
It is now up to my aunt to find a physician to be able to help her son as nobody locally has the expertise for this type of rare cancer. By the grace of God, a nurse at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle responded and sent over a referral to Seattle Children’s Hospital. Within a day, my aunt got a call from the oncologist and wanted Justice up in Seattle the next morning (February 16th, 2024.) The oncology team came up with a treatment plan, starting with 6 months of chemo and clinical studies as this cancer has very limited information connected to it due to the severity of the rareness.
During the weeks off between chemo treatments, Justice has to be within an hour of the hospital, in case of complications. So he is unable to go home. The Ronald McDonald House has a waitlist and the cheapest monthly hotel is $2000 a month. With his mother being on a fixed income this makes it nearly impossible.
We are trying to raise money with the generosity of family and friends to help with living expenses and medical bills. Any amount is deeply appreciated. Sharing this go fund me and prayers are also welcome and very much appreciated. Justice has a lot ahead of him. Thank you so much!

Justice got up to Seattle Children's Hospital and was admitted this morning. They placed his port today and he will have four days of chemo this weekend. The plan as of now is to do chemo treatments until June then have a debulking surgery followed up by more chemo and radiation. Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, and donations. It is very much appreciated!

Justice finally started an intense (9 different medications) 3-day chemo treatment last week after having some complications. Next week he will do a 5-day course. The Drs are trying to treat this aggressively and he will be switching off from 3 days to 5 days, for every other treatment. He is managing the nausea but doesn't have much of an appetite. He is in a lot of pain and can't sleep much as the 2 large tumors attached to his spine are making it hard to lay down as well as the abdominal ones. They are watching his labs closely between treatments. Some abnormalities may delay treatment.
Our family greatly appreciates your prayers and generosity!!
