Justice for Abdifatah Ahmed – Support His Family's Fight
Donation protected
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Abdifatah Ahmed, a young man whose life was cut short far too soon. Abdifatah, who was experiencing a mental health crisis while homeless, was shot and killed by Victoria Police. This heartbreaking end to a life full of potential and promise has left his family, friends, and community devastated.
Abdifatah was not just another statistic. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend. His family and community loved him deeply, and his loss has left an unimaginable void. Abdifatah needed help, not violence. He was vulnerable, struggling with homelessness and mental health challenges, but instead of receiving care, he was met with tragic force.
We are urgently raising funds to support Abdifatah’s family during this incredibly painful time. The money raised will go toward:
• Funeral and burial costs, allowing his family to lay him to rest with dignity.
• Legal expenses, as his loved ones seek answers and fight for justice on his behalf.
• Family support, to help ease the financial burden as they navigate this overwhelming grief.
We ask everyone, especially within the African community, to act with urgency. This is not just about one man's life, but about holding the police accountable for their actions and ensuring that no one else suffers in this way.
Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to justice for Abdifatah and his family. We must stand together and demand accountability.
Thank you for your support.
