Justice for Our Brother Abdul Shahid

Hello, my name is Mina. I have set up this gofundme in regards to my brothers horrific murder.

My brother Abdul Shahid, 39 years old, was recently killed by family members on March 7, 2024. A British national who resided in Coventry, West Midlands for the majority of his life. He had moved to Bangladesh in an attempt to turn his life around, he then got married and had twin girls who were four months old.

He provided food, clothing, and garment purchases for the impoverished. He loved working for charities and was happiest when he was assisting those in need.

He had such a kind heart, and since he had lately inherited my dad's house and land, his issues with the neighbouring family members started.

On that fateful night, he was on the phone and on his way home prior to buying medication for his children, he was ambushed from behind. The perpetrators had locked the door from the outside so he could not get into the house. Although his land was rightfully his, his avaricious family desired to live there. They repeatedly stabbed Abdul and thrashed him viciously. The body was regarded by witnesses as unreal and unsettling. To make matters worse, the perpetrators had fled the scene and left their belongings behind.

Because of the shortcomings in Bangladesh's legal system and the country's restrictive application of British laws, I intend to use the monies to support his case and pursue justice, as well as supporting his wife and children. British Bangladeshis should feel secure when travelling to their country. I want my brother's passing to serve as a warning so that tragedies similar to this one never occur again.
