Justice for Adrian: Support His Legal Fight

My name is Paola Coronado, I am the mother of 18-month old Adrian who has been PHYSICALLY ABUSED by ASHLEE DAVIS from Centro de la Familia in Grand Junction, Colorado. My son was under the care of this monster for less than a month, as he had barely started March 24th. I had to find out about the physical abuse my son had endured this past Tuesday thru a phone call from Mesa County Sheriff Office when they called to inform me she had been detained Friday. ASHLEE DAVIS was in jail for LESS than 24 HOURS, as she was released on a PR bond on Saturday. Centro de la Familia failed to inform me about the incident and seemed to have no intentions on taking precautions. A brave aide from the classroom took it upon her self to record the agonizing moments my son had to endured as he was being forced to sleep and was nearly suffocated. She reported the incident to CPS and the deputies immediately took action. I was then informed they had made two more arrests on Saturday in connection with this incident as two of the headstart supervisors had knowledge of what had happened and failed to report. They were charged with several charges including compliance. Not to my surprise they received the same PR Bond and were released on Monday. The biggest betrayal of all comes from the Director Gonzalo Plaza from Centro de la Familia. He communicated with me on Friday hours after I had found out about the incident. His arrogance could transmit thru the phone call and he was trying to make it seem as if the incident was not as bad. He stated it did not get out of hand and my son was obviously not injured. At the time there was not much I could say as I had not seen the video myself but defended my son by saying that did not sound anything like the information or video description I had received from the deputy. On Monday I saw the classroom video that showed a longer version of the incident. My son endured over 10 MINUTES of abuse. Where his head was roughly pushed down over 5 times and he was covered completely with a blanket. My son was being DEPRIVED from air during this time. To my surprise the Director Gonzalo Plaza attended the bond hearing for the two supervisor who failed to report and did absolutely nothing for my son instead showed his support for THEM. Their names being DANA BOCCONCELLI and JENNIFER BERTROCH. GONZALO PLAZA stepped to the podium in front of me to express sympathy for both of these supervisors who did not deserve what they were going thru. He expressed that they were EXCEPTIONAL employees who would absolutely return to being employed with Centro de la Familia. He did not greet me or my husband when we entered the court room or showed any type of sympathy for the nightmare we are living. I WANT JUSTICE FOR MY BABY ADRIAN.

If any of you would like to donate to help me get legal representation for my son against his abuser ASHLEE DAVIS and against the negligence on the whole situation that was allowed by Centro de la Familia and how they have decided to handle it going forward. DANA BOCCONCELLI and JENNIFER BERTROCH failed my son and did not report the abuse as it was THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. They do not deserve to be defended to this extent much less continue to have employment along CHILDREN. I want them ALL to be held responsible.
