Donation protected
My name is Lourdes Ortiz, My son was was an AIR Force Rotc Cadet at Embry Riddle university. He was 22 years old, his death was deemed a suicide but he did not take hos life and the local law enforcement had done nothing. Now I’m forced to raise funds to hire a Private Investigator and a Legal Team because the local law enforcement has failed my son.
Born August 5th, 1998 to Lourdes Ortiz , Alexander Bello-Ortiz was a promising young person whose dedication to kindness and perpetual learning preceded his age. Alex was an only child and his Mom and Stepfather’s pride and joy. His dreams were made of family, true love, and dedicated service to all. Alex was the definition of a family man, claiming Monopoly as his favorite simply because it entailed group fun with his loved ones. Ever the peacemaker, Alex was inspired by people in his life like his grandfather Ovidio and politicians like Bernie Sanders.
People in his life describe Alex as a genuine, thoughtful person who found pleasure in giving. Alex was the type of person to seek out sentimental treasures in new places and safekeeping them to share as gifts with his loved ones. Even his furry friends, including his childhood dog MiMi, depended on Alex to be a friendly and welcoming place. And that he was. When he wasn’t working, studying, or spending time with family. Alex loved to watch Japanese anime and listen to his favorite songs. His favorite cuisine was Thai food, especially drunken noodles. More than anything, Alex enjoyed his grandmother’s famous sauce.
He shared close bonds with family, friends, and peers, was driven by compassion for others, and determined to understand the unexplainable. Alex was committed to community, described by his family as nothing short of a justice seeker and natural mediator always eager to learn more about the world and who he shared it with. Alex was also determined to keep learning and expanding his skills, which led him to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL in September 2019 to pursue engineering. Alex entered Embry Riddle as a senior, having transferred from Norwich University after finding out about Embry Riddle’s prestigious engineering program. That same first semester at Embry Riddle, Alex was named Wing Commander of India Flight.
Alex was known for his catchphrase: “I got you, mate!” We got him now. We’ll see to it that Alex’s life is celebrated with true justice for his tragic death.
