If you've met Amari, you have been blessed. She has a smile that will light up a room. She is a student at Clark Atlanta with plans to graduate in 2022 with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fashion. She is a creative soul, free-spirited, and the life of the party! After graduation, she has plans to travel and land a job in the fashion industry, with dreams to create her own clothing line. Amari is an ambitious, busy body, and she loves to be on the go seeking new experiences.
On April 20, 2021, Amari's life was changed forever. While driving home from work, Amari was shot twice, with one of the bullets being lodged in her spine. Due to this tragedy, Amari is now in a wheelchair and requiring physical rehabilitation. This gofundme is being started to raise money for Amari's care, medical bills, and other necessities as she has a long road of recovery ahead. Her mother is a single parent with two college students, and she will need help with these new financial obligations. Their home will need alterations to be wheelchair accessible (ramp, bathroom remodeling, etc.) to support Amari's transition and recovery when the time comes. Amari's vehicle is totaled, and she will need a wheelchair-friendly vehicle so that she can continue to be independent and chase her dreams.
Amari has had a smile on her face everyday since this senseless act of violence, and she continues to be in good spirits. Let's bless her so she can continue to have some form of normalcy and recover stress-free. Thank you in advance, and please continue to keep her in your prayer! #JusticeforAmari
