Justice For Buzz
My mother in law, Molly, was travelling down the street walking her three chihuahuas in the morning as she would usually do. The route was no different, and she hadn't yet arrived at her destination (a local park), when her dogs were approached by a German Shepherd dog who had no lead and was running out on the street. The dog had no control from it's owner, nor a muzzle. This dog then went out for the three chihuahuas, leaving one of them to luckily dodge the attack (and later had to be walked home by a passing civilian), another to be lifted up by the lead to be pulled to safety, but then grabbed Buzz and dragged him onto the road and savagely attacked him. During this, the chihuahuas' owner was trying to recue her dogs while the other woman attempted no control over the Shepherd. Some of Buzz's fur was shaved off to reveal a blackish/blue patch o skin, where he also needed stitches. His treatment is ongoing. The German Shepherd has attacked other dogs in the area before and has dangerous characteristics, for example needing a muzzle (as he has been seen wearing one before) and my
mother in law has a small bite mark and a bruise on her hand. The other owner took no to little responsibility for the vet bill, which is still adding up.
