Justice for Choogie: Fight Against Unethical Vets
Donation protected
Hi my name is Keri Quarry-Pryor and on May 25,2024 my heart was broke when my dog, my best friend was intentionally murdered by the veterinarian and vet tech at the emergency animal hospital we had taken her to for her front paw that she was limping on. Choogie had been there prior to that night and was prescribed meloxicam for arthritis she didn’t have. No bloodwork was done before given the medicine which is supposed to be done in order to give that very toxic medicine. After a few days of not eating or drinking and vomiting we took her back to the vet on that fatal night. We knew she was suffering from meloxicam poisoning and informed the vet we knew that’s what was wrong with her since every box on the side effects check list was checked. Instead of treating Choogie for her condition, which there is an established treatment for such a condition, they wouldn’t do anything for hours except try to squeeze as much money out of us as they could get away with. When finally they realized we decided we didn’t want them to do anything for Choogie , that we would be taking her somewhere else, they told us that she needed IV for fluids, something we had been telling them for hours. Agreeing to let them help her with fluids, they took her in the back and killed her . There are many details that are to extensive to write in this summary , and they involve cold hearted unethical practices by these people. My mission is to get Justice for Choogie by exposing the crimes against innocent creatures that have no voice and their families that have suffered great loss and grief as a result of the actions taken by the people we all trust to care for our beloved pets. My mission is to raise enough money to cover legal fees and hire legal representation to not only sue, but also bring these great injustices to light in a criminal court, and finally to introduce a law that protects animals from unethical practices by requiring all professionals caring for our pets(our family members) to wear body cams just like law enforcement does, so they have to be accountable for exactly what they do behind closed doors. As opposed to the lies they tell with no oversight to ensure conduct is honest and ethical. We don’t know what the cost will end up being because this is all unfamiliar to us as far as what path to take and who needs to be contacted to accomplish our mission. One thing I can say for sure, there is nothing I won’t do to get Justice for Choogie. My vision is to have Choogies’ law written and established in the law books by January 1st 2025.
