Justice for Chris- one of Tara Reades victims
*This is not about money. This is about raising awareness for survivors of child abuse- whether it is physical or psychological. Although the money is helpful to Chris- he wanted this to be more of a tribute to his friend whom endured one of the most traumatic childhoods ever. He hopes that by donating half of the proceeds to children in high risk environments, maybe we will be able to help just one child escape psychological or physicalabuse. This is for his friend who we cannot name,but know that Chris loves you dearly regardless of what has happened*
The story is too familiar to those who know the background. In 2015-2016, Chris was a roommate of Tara Reade. He gave her $700 as a last months rent when moving in (not a deposit). She also tried to shame him into silence with his court record in a direct message to himon twitter after he spoke out about her.
When he could no longer stand the chaos and poor living conditions, he moved out shortly after giving her rent for that month. She And her daughter were contacted numerous times And a promise was made to make good on the $700 that was rightfully Chris’. He endured the deplorable living conditions for 6 months, couldnot even sleep in his own room due to fleas, and was treated as a sounding board for Taras issues.
She does not show remorse or intent to pay him back. He is a wonderful person, a great friend and would do anything to help others if they need it. Though he is not her only victim, her psychological manipulation took a toll on him- and we are asking the community to come together to help rectify what she will not.
Half of what is raised will go to Chris, and He has agreed to donate half of the proceeds to Prevent Child Abuse America, a non-profit that works to foster child development and stop abuse BEFORE it begins. This type of work means a lot because too many children end up in the hands of parents who use psychological warfare on their kids to push their own agenda.
