Justice for DeAnthony VanAtten

On Monday, April 25th 2022, DeAnthony was profiled and shot by the East Lansing Police Department while leaving Meijer with his paid items in hand. Unknown to him, a biased call had been placed to 911. The caller stated that a black male wearing a face mask placed a gun into his pocket, but was not a threat.

Unarmed and in a parking lot full of people, police fired multiple shots, striking him twice from behind while running with his hands in the air. Both of these bullets remain lodged in his body.

Due to this unfortunate situation, we are asking for your help to raise funds to help with his affairs and get Justice for DeAnthony and the entire BLM community.
