Justice for George Henderson: Legal Fund

To begin this, my father, George Henderson, has Alzheimer's, and it is a struggle to try to have him enjoy a normal life.

On December 6, George Henderson was falsely accused of theft, drug possession, and several other charges that are not valid. To make this matter worse, a police officer hit him to the point that my dad was knocked unconscious. Video footage has shown Mr. Henderson was not resisting and even back-talking the officer. To make matters worse, the officer spoke to my mother, Kim Henderson, lying about what my dad had done. The officer continues to lie about the situation while the justice system has even gone as far as to protect this officer.

I have set up this GoFundMe page to get any assistance possible to get the criminal attorney to handle this situation. The Guthrie Police Department and the justice system have shown with this incident that anyone with a mental disorder is not safe with the police officers. Mr. Henderson has served 30 years in the military, fighting for our freedom, and he comes back home to be mistreated by the people who swore to protect us? These may not be isolated incidents, but we have a voice, and we need to be heard.

Taking care of someone who can't defend themselves is difficult, and this is the situation Mrs. Henderson has now been drawn into. It doesn't matter what mental issue or strife a person deals with, the Guthrie Police Department needs to understand accountability. On December 6, a veteran was assaulted by a police officer. Who knows what other atrocious acts they will do? My name is Javaughn Henderson, and I am asking for any help however I may receive it. Life is difficult already, and we don't need to make it difficult for others.
