Justice for Grandma Jackie: Support our Fight For Truth!

My name is Dominique, and I am married to Rayinna Duncan, Grandma Jackie's eldest granddaughter.
Our world shattered the day we lost Grandma Jackie. She was more than just family; she was our rock, our confidante, the heart of our world.
We believe her tragic death was a direct result of horrific neglect and abuse while under the care of a skilled nursing and rehab facility. It's a pain that consumes us, a wound that refuses to heal. The Resident Care Manager literally asked My Wife, Our Aunt a Pastor, and I "Why do you want to preserve her life?" This was a response to use pleading to get her more hydration and nourishment because Grandma was very dehydrated and malnourished.
Grandma Jackie was a vibrant woman, full of life. After a stroke in March, her speech slowed, and she struggled with eating and drinking. But she was a fighter. Then, inexplicably, she was gone in July.
We are haunted by the image of her frail body, marred by monstrous Stage 4 D-Cubitis ulcers(bedsores) – wounds so deep you could bury your fist in them. It’s a picture that burns into our minds, a constant reminder of the inhumanity she endured. We fear the bacteria from these horrific infections may have seeped into her bloodstream, slowly poisoning her until her heart stopped.
In Mid June Desperation drove us to report the facility to the Department of Health and Human Services (DSHS). Yet, their response was a cruel mockery of justice. An investigator arrived just two days before Grandma Jackie passed, claiming to find her in "good health." This is a blatant lie. We called DSHS a month earlier, with life threatening concerns pleading for help. How could they be so heartless, so incompetent?
Grandma Jackie was supposed to be turned every two hours to prevent these dreadful ulcers. The evidence is undeniable: she was abandoned, left to suffer in agony. The facility's rush to cremate her body just hours after her death is suspicious, a desperate attempt to cover up their monstrous crimes.
Sabrina, Grandma Jackie's daughter, is a woman on a mission. She refuses to let her mother's memory be erased without a fight. An autopsy is our only hope to uncover the truth, to bring justice for our beloved Grandma Jackie.
A compassionate coroner confirmed our worst fears, urging us to pursue an autopsy to determine if Grandma Jackie was overmedicated or dehydrated. The cost is a staggering $5,900 – money we simply don’t have. We’ve turned to the medical examiner, but they require a police report. The endless waiting for a detective to return our calls is a torment we wouldn’t wish on anyone.
Time is our cruelest enemy. We have until August 23rd to raise the funds for an autopsy. If we fail, the truth will be lost forever. We cannot bear the thought of Grandma Jackie’s suffering being in vain. We refuse to let this happen to another family.
Please, help us give Grandma Jackie the justice she deserves. Your compassion can make a difference.
