Justice for Jalani Lovett

Jalani Lovett was 27 years old when he was beaten to death by the L.A. County Sheriff while in their custody at LA County Jail on September 22, 2021. 

Jalani was beaten from head to toe. He was found unconscious in his solitary confinement cell. There was bruising all over his body. Blood on his face. His whole left arm was pulled out of its socket.

Jalani was murdered by the "3000 boys" gang, who work on the 3000 block of Men Central Jail in Los Angeles. This is a gang within the LA Sheriffs Department known to engage in ritual beatings of inmates as part of initiation ceremonies where they bring in new members. They are known to have beaten at least 19 young Black and Brown men to death.

Jalani was a warm and friendly-family man, who loved to play ball and volunteer at the Rainbow Recreation Center in Oakland. This is the second son I've  had to bury. He leaves behind 5 siblings a grieving father and mother. Please help our family during this difficult time.
