Justice For James Flores

My name is James Flores. I am an activist . I fight in favor of the most needy in our community, I have been the voice for the voiceless for the last 40 years. In the last 20 years I have had a tough fight so that the Willimantic CT Town Council establishes a " Police Review Board " which will soon be achieved. Also together with other leaders I fought for the state of Connecticut to establish the" Police Accountability Act " . A very important victory was to get the Willimantic CT Police Department to remove the Blue Lives Matter flag from its website.

All these achievements have made me pay a high price. The Friday June 4, 2021 I was arrested by Willimantic Police Officer Which many people question my arrests as a intent of police officer to silent me The charges are the following cases; two count interfering with an officer / resting arrest ---- two count of assault a public safety officer --- disorderly conduct and trespassing..

One of the most sacred principles in the American criminal justice system, holding that defendant is innocent until proven guilty. However economic conditions can make an innocent person guilty. That is why I ask for your financial support for a process that will be long and expensive . I already paid most of the cost which is still owed $ 2,000 .
