Justice for JC: Help her family attend the trial

Donation protected
We are extending this fundraiser to raise a further $500 to cover expenses generated during the immediate post-trial period. Once this goal is reached, we will close the fundraiser.

After the trial, Ms Bernadette Clarke (pictured here), spokesperson for the Clarke family, travelled to Geraldton for further sorry business following the deeply disappointing verdict.

This fundraiser raised a fantastic $8005, significantly contributing to the Clarke family's living expenses during the 3-week trial for their deceased Sister and Auntie, Ms Joyce Clarke (JC). The trial ran from 4th - 22nd October, 2021.

The trial found that the police officer was NOT GUILTY of either murder or manslaughter of JC, whom he shot at point blank range on 17th September, 2019. He was ACQUITTED.  He is now preparing to return to work.

With all our hearts we invite you to continue to participate in this expression of support, solidarity and demand for something better for this family and this society.

WE CONTINUE to call for Justice, for Respect, and for an end to the appalling deaths of Aboriginal people at the hands of the Australian police!

with gratitude for your support and generosity,
Jane Belfrage and Bernadette Clarke
