Justice for Joe: Palestine Protest Lost Wages
Donation protected
My name is Lexis and I was one of the organizers at the rally on Saturday in Royal Oak. On Saturday, December 9th hundreds of Palestinian supporters were protesting in Royal Oak. We were met with racist police officers who assaulted a number of protesters including women and children. Two protesters were arrested unjustly. One was let go on the same day. Joe, however was unfortunately kept through the weekend as he was being charged for “assaulting an officer.” While Joe was on the right side of history that day protecting protesters and the people of Palestine, he became a victim of the unjust systems such as police brutality that exist within our country. Many know that US police are trained by the Israeli Occupation Force.
During his time in jail, Joe missed several days at work, resulting in loss of income. Join us in supporting Joe, who lost income due to an unjust arrest while protesting for Palestine. Your contribution helps him recover missed days of work and stands for justice. Let's unite for a cause that matters.
