Hello, my name is Shanequa Nelson, and I am the niece of Jonathan Eddens, who tragically died on April 14th during an encounter with the El Paso police. They were called to a scene where a man was reportedly walking in and out of traffic. Rather than safely detaining him to evaluate his mental health, they pursued him aggressively, and he was severely beaten. This incident involved seven officers targeting one individual, which has been very distressing and painful for us to witness. I am organizing this campaign on behalf of my grandmother, Jonathan's mother, to cover the costs of his funeral and legal expenses. This event was completely unforeseen. We are earnestly seeking the community’s support to achieve justice for my uncle. Our family is devastated, especially after seeing the video of the incident, which went viral online. Any form of support, whether it is a prayer, a donation, or even sharing our story, is immensely appreciated by our family.
