Justice for Jonathon Tubby
Donation protected
On October 19, 2018 Jonathon Tubby was killed by a Green Bay Police officer. He was pulled over for a traffic stop, arrested and was later killed in the sally port of the Brown County Jail. He was hand cuffed and unarmed when he was shot from behind.
There was a plan to get him out of the squad car but that plan wasn't followed and shared with all officers in the sally port. The lack of communication and direction between the Green Bay Police Department and Brown County Sheriff's Department contributed to Jonathon's death. Jonathon was shot 5 times in the head, back and neck. Other less lethal routes could have been used, but were not. The family has filed a civil lawsuit and needs your help with raising money for awareness of Jonathon's case. The officer that shot Jonathon was never charged. We are looking for accountability. We are also raising money to help with expenses and legislative advocacy. We want accountability and we want change.
We are trying to get Jonathon's story told. Jonathon was only 26 when he was killed. He had his whole life ahead of him. He was proud to be an indigenous person and had pride for his community. Our search for justice continues. I am Jonathon's cousin and am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of our family. Thank you for your continued support. We ask you to help us share....
