Justice for Joseph--Remembering Joseph Francis II
Donation protected
On January 10, 2023 a tragic event took place leaving the family and friends of Joseph Francis II stunned, without answers and forever deeply heartbroken. Joseph Francis II was shot at multiple times by Florida police officers in what is being claimed an act of defense by those responsible. His family and friends need answers and to make certain that Joseph receives the justice he deserves.
Joseph was hit nine times by police bullets in what his family and friends believe was an incident that did not have to result in the death of a beloved son, brother, uncle, partner, honorable Navy war veteran and dear friend to so many.
Joseph’s father, an honorable war veteran himself, in a state of devastation, had to make the decision no loving father should have to make for their child. This decision, to donate his young, healthy and vibrant 37 year old son’s organs to those in need, as Joseph himself would want.
This painful decision, to take Joseph off of life support, after it was medically determined to do so, was found to be necessary after determining the only fatal wound Joseph experienced on that horrific day was a bullet that entered his head resulting in brain death. This fatal wound was sustained, after it was reported that Joseph could be heard shouting to these officers, “OK! YOU GOT ME!” as multiple shots continued.
We are seeking out that truth be provided, that Joseph had absolutley no intentions of violence towards these officers, that Joseph did not brandish a weapon, giving police reason to repeatedly shoot at him forty-six times, and hit him nine times.
Those who knew Joseph, knew the size of his heart, his intelligence, his great love for his family and friends, and of course-his huge strong hugs. To Joseph’s family and friends he was our superhero. Joseph had a love for healthy living and healthy eating, an exceptional cook with a special love for seafood. Joseph bravely enlisted in the Navy and served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan. Joseph was an athletic person, avid sailor and swimmer, with a natural affinity to the ocean. After completing his service with honorable discharge from the Navy, he took on work in the commercial fishing and yachting industry as a diesel mechanic on luxury vessels.
Joseph was a friend who was always just a phone call away, a true man who would help anyone in need, cheer anyone up, a man who took care of his family and friends with a positive attitude and gentle spirit. A man who was senselessly taken away from us forever.
As Joseph’s family and loved ones navigate through this difficult time, proceeding with legal action to determine how this tragic loss took place, with hope that they could help spare other families from such sorrow, any support offered will be placed directly towards the costs for Justice for Joseph.
