Justice For Julissia

Hi, my name is Yolanda Davis and I along with my family have suffered a horrific loss. Thank you for taking the time to read her story. My 7 year old granddaughter; Julissia Batties lost her life due to the failed ACS system, her mother and her brother negligence and abuse. Her innocent life was taken from her on Tuesday August 10th, 2021 by the very hands of her own mother and 17 year old brother because of a snack. She was improperly returned to her mother’s care after a judge denied the request. Julissia nickname "Lissia" was a very happy child during the duration that I had custody of her for 5 years and 11 months. Often times she would stay to herself and engage in her toys, and play with her 4 cousins that were like older brothers. She had an enjoyable childhood with lots of love, happiness, and I would give anything to have her back with us. I've tried my hardest to regain custody of her to have a normal life. Due to the pandemic there was limited resources, assistance and unfortunately the courts were closed and my voice fell on deaf ears. I’ve begged and pleaded, reached out to commissioners, administrators and anyone who would listen before a tragedy such as this one would occur.  I tried to protect her from harm and mistreatment but I could not win against the SCO agency that returned Lissia to her mother without the judge's consent. Unfortunately we are here. She has only been with her mother for 1 year and barely 5 months and her sweet, beautiful smile will never light up another room. Please Help Us Bring Justice For Julissia!!
