Justice For Kelsey Parrish Jr (18)

My name is Lakeeshia Bennett and I am the single mother of a 18 year old by the name of Kelsey T Parrish Jr. He was murdered on Georgia Southern University’s (GSU) campus in Statesboro Ga on 2/24/2022 at 3:40pm by someone he knew.

I had spoken to Kelsey Jr. at 3:36pm He asked me to pick him up. 4 minutes later I was contact by someone at the crime scene informing me there was a gun accident and my son accidentally shot himself.

I have received absolutely no information from authorities regarding the crime thus far. No one has answered my questions, I have received no reports, no gun type, no bullet type, there was no 72 hour holds, no finger printing and no real autopsy done.

My son and I were extremely close and I know there was some foul play involved based on our last conversation moments before his life was taken. I know my son and this was not self inflicted, accidental.

It has been brought to my attention that there have been several unsolved murders in this area, and I refuse to have my son be one of them.

I have reach out to a team of lawyers and they agreed to accept my case. The attorneys have informed me that this is a major case and will require significant time, dedication and money. The total cost to prosecute the case is $80,000.

A down payment of $40,000 is required at the end of this month (April 2022) to retain the attorney’s services.

My only mission in life right now is to receive justice for my son.

Today is 3/6/22 still no phone call from GSU, the Corner, The Examiner, The GBI’s nor the GSU PD.
